Dartmouth Health is a nonprofit academic health system that includes Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, a 396-bed quaternary care hospital with the only Level 1 trauma center and the only air ambulance service in New Hampshire; the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; Dartmouth Health Children’s; and is affiliated with several hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont. In partnership with the Audrey and Theodor Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the White River Junction Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction, VT, Dartmouth Health trains nearly 400 residents and fellows annually and performs world-class research. Dartmouth Health is the major referral center for a large and rural catchment area that includes Vermont, New Hampshire and parts of Maine and New York State.
