Employer Spotlight: YWCA Bucks County

The YWCA Bucks County is a non-profit agency. Our mission is that we are dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. We envision a community of empowered women, girls and families succeeding through increased opportunities to pursue and fulfill their individual aspirations. The YWCA Bucks County is committed to the empowerment of, community-based service to, and partnership with women, girls and families in need. Integrity, diversity, inclusivity, empathy and self-value are non-negotiable elements of everything we do.

By strive to fulfill our mission continuously by offering so many services to youth, parents/guardians, community members, and overall the families of Bucks County. Some services include youth programs such as summer camp, after school programs, and teen groups. We also provide prevention services in schools and our youth/family programs. In addition we help with employment services, social justice events, and housing services. For housing, we help those who need assistance with affording house or we even help those who are homeless find housing for them and their families. Although this is a long list, we offer additional services within these departments. Nonetheless, the goal is to provide and support the families in Bucks County.

For the summer 2023 we have multiple positions at our summer camps located in Center and Lower Bucks County that consist of the Summer Camp Directors, Summer Camp Unit Coordinators, and Summer Camp Counselors. The advertisements for these can be found on Indeed and our website. We also offer positions during the school year at our after school programs. Those too are in locations in Central and Lower Bucks County. We post these on Indeed and our website during late-summer. In addition, we offer internships as does our Housing department. We always welcome students to be part of our programs so they can gain experience with youth and families.
