Ever wonder what it takes to turn your college experience into a career you love? With the right mix of hard work, internships, and smart networking, college can turn into the perfect launchpad for your career. Here’s how one student turned ambition into real success. 🚀

Riley is a Psychology major, working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Behavior Interventions Inc. (BII). Let’s hear about how Riley’s career took off at Arcadia.
Q: How did you connect with the employers?
A: I met with two (recruiters) from BII at the (Internship & Career) Fair (2025)! I met a lot of different employers and (learned about) possible internship positions. It was really nice to see the multitude of options I had for possible directions I could take my degree!
Q: What type of follow-ups did you have after the event?
A: After the event, I had reached out to BII looking for an internship position. I was able to get an interview and then after some time working as an intern I went through training and was promoted to an RBT! This is the work I do now and will most likely continue doing after graduation. This really has given me a great outlook for what I can do with my psychology degree and I look forward to being able to do even more at the company once I graduate!
Q: Can you share one thing that you think has helped you prepare for your career?
A: Going to the Résumé Revival really helped me to put it together in a more appealing way that I believe did help me to get the job I’m in now!
Q: Any advice for our fellow students on career preparation and job search?
A: It is very important to try and find a clear goal you can strive for, but also to keep an open mind to any opportunities that may come your way!
Q: What is the highlight of your career so far?
A: Prior to working at BII, I really had no idea that the field of ABA was a thing. After seeing it and working in the field, I’ve realized that it is really amazing work and it feels extremely fulfilling! I am very glad that I was able to discover it through the career fair.
