Position Summary:
Campus Life and Enrollment Management support a comprehensive program of co-curricular activities that support institutional retention efforts, CABR initiatives, and assist student transition to college life. The cultural, social, recreational, and educational programs are designed to complement the Arcadia University Mission and Lived Values and create a positive experience that opens new horizons, ideas, and social outlets. Through programming, involvement, leadership, and service, students have the opportunity to serve as champions and advocates for new and current Arcadia Students, develop professional competencies, and positively impact the campus community.
The Student Experience Leader will represent our institution and serve as a liaison between prospective students, current students, faculty, and staff. You will be responsible for promoting a positive image of the university, assisting with recruitment efforts, and providing support to various campus events and initiatives. This position, in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and the Assistant Director of Admissions, will help develop and facilitate meaningful experiences to first-year and transfer students, assist students and guests of students in the transition to Arcadia through positive interactions and discussions, collaborate with campus and external partners, provide excellent customer service while chaperoning potential new students and their families around our campus, and hold extensive knowledge of the University that can be transferred in a seamless manner to potential and new students and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campus Tours:
- Conduct guided tours and create meaningful experiences for prospective students, families, and visitors, highlighting their personal experiences, life at Arcadia, key facilities, academic buildings, and student life areas.
Recruitment Events:
- Assist with organizing and staffing recruitment events such as open houses, informational sessions, and fairs, on and off campus; engaging with prospective students and families; answering questions about academic programs, admissions, and campus life. Allow prospective students to shadow you for a Day on Campus. Encouraged to serve as an OverKnight host.
Student Leadership:
- Train and evaluate new and current student leaders for Admissions and Student Engagement. Assist with hiring student leaders. Carry oneself as the “leaders of the student leaders” and act as a liaison between student leaders and professional staff members.
Outreach and Engagement:
- Actively engage with prospective students through various communication channels including social media, emails, and phone calls, providing information about the university, addressing questions and concerns.
- Assist with marketing requests (social media takeovers, testimonials, photoshoots, etc) by participating and/or recruiting others to participate.
Group Facilitation:
- Facilitate small group discussions, icebreaker activities, and team-building exercises to foster connections among new students and promote a sense of belonging within the university community.
Student Resource:
- Serve as a resource for new and transfer students, offering guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of campus life.
Event Coordination:
- Coordinate logistics for orientation events, including setup and teardown, registration, distribution of materials, and ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
Professional Development:
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as your knowledge of campus resources and policies.
Marginal Functions:
- Participate in Student Engagement and Campus Life meetings and initiatives.
- Evening and weekend work is required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervision
Received: This position reports the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Given: Responsible for leadership and clear communication with Orientation Leaders, Tour Ambassadors, and Student Program Ambassadors; supervision issues directed to the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and the Assistant Director of Admissions, respectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must be in good standing with the University.
- Must be available for training, Summer Welcome Days, Fall Welcome Week, extended orientation, spring orientation, admitted student events, and open houses (summer, fall, & spring).
- Must be available for the 2 Virtual Orientations.
- Must be able to commit to a 12 month position; days during winter break, spring break and summer break will be needed as part of this position (time off will be addressed by your supervisor as needed).

Monday and Friday- 10:00 and 2:00
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday- 2:00 (summer changes to 11:00)
Many Saturdays – 11:00
It is not required to have a weekly tour time during the semester schedule, but you will be required to work some or all of these times during your provided summer & other break availability. Additional tour times may be added.
