Position Summary:
Arcadia University Tour Ambassadors represent our institution and serve as a bridge for prospective students and families to envision themselves as part of the Arcadia Community. Tour Ambassadors are responsible for promoting a positive image of the university, assisting with recruitment efforts, and providing support to various campus events and initiatives. The ambassador position plays a key role in recruiting future Knights by allowing prospective students, their families, and other guests to meet current students with diverse perspectives and campus experiences. Arcadia Ambassadors are enthusiastic brand ambassadors for the university.
Tour Ambassadors will be able to help educate prospective students and families about campus life, history, traditions and achievements of the university by sharing their own stories and insights into Arcadia and its lived values. Through tours, training, customer service, and leadership, Tour Ambassadors are able to develop professional competencies and positively impact the campus community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campus Tours:
- Conduct guided tours and create meaningful experiences for prospective students, families, and visitors, highlighting their personal experiences, life at Arcadia, key facilities, academic buildings, and student life areas.
- Attend and participate in prospective student information sessions or student panels, sharing personal experiences as an Arcadia student.
Recruitment Events:
- Assist with organizing and staffing recruitment events such as open houses, admitted student days, academic department sessions, and more as needed.
- At said events, engage with prospective students and families and answer questions about academic programs, admissions, and campus life.
- Allow prospective students to shadow you to a class and/or campus event.
Student Leadership:
- Contribute positively to the Ambassador team environment and work together to foster positivity and excitement for Arcadia with prospective students and families.
Outreach and Engagement:
- Engage with prospective students through various communication channels including social media, emails, and phone calls, providing information about the university, addressing questions and concerns.
- Occasionally assist with marketing requests (social media takeovers, testimonials, photoshoots, etc) by participating and/or recruiting others to participate.
- Assist with office work such as phone calls, mailings, data entry, etc.
Professional Development:
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of campus resources and policies.
Marginal Functions:
- Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of campus resources, academic programs, and student services.
Supervision
Received: This position reports to the Assistant Director of Admission Events, Campus Visits, and the New Student Experience. Training and mentorship given by Student Experience Leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must be in good standing with the University.
- Must be available for August training (see Required Training Dates below), admitted student events, and open houses.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Monday and Friday- 10:00 and 2:00
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday- 2:00
Many Saturdays – 11:00
It is not required to have a weekly tour time during the semester schedule, but you will be required to work all large recruitment events, listed below. Additional tour times may be added.
