Facilities Operations Assistant (Weekend) Job Description

We are searching for Facilities Operations Assistants (Weekends from 8a to 2p, timing flexible). This role is responsible for collecting, transporting, and disposing of trash and recyclable materials from the trash rooms to the main compactors behind Oak Summit. This role ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by maintaining waste areas and supporting overall custodial operations in Oak Summit.

Responsibilities include:
- Collect trash and recycling from designated areas on a scheduled basis
- Transport waste to dumpsters or compactors safely and efficiently
- Replace trash liners and ensure containers are clean and properly positioned
- Clean and maintain trash rooms, docks, and disposal areas
- Follow proper waste separation and recycling procedures
- Report safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment to supervisors
- Use carts, bins, and basic custodial equipment correctly
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and facility guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
