Job Description: A Student Assistant for the Department of Media and Communication works under the supervision of the Studio Supervisor, Julia Primavera, and is assigned tasks from her and Dr. Deshpande. All Student Assistants will be trained to have a basic understanding of all our video equipment and will learn the process of renting equipment to video students. Additional departmental tasks are assigned to individual students and require technical, computer and organizational skills.
Applicants who are Media & Communication majors are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students to check out video equipment
- Treat all equipment with care
- Maintenance of all video equipment
- Charge cameras and other equipment as needed
- Alert Julia if equipment is broken or missing
- Monitor video lab email
- Other tasks as assigned
