About the Role
Cardinal Education is seeking a Bioinformatics Mentor to join our team! The mentor’s responsibility would include providing one-on-one structured coaching to our students and mentoring them through their journey. This opportunity emphasizes mentorship and cultivating enthusiasm and interest in Bioinformatics. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about helping young minds learn more and dive deeper into fields they would otherwise not have exposure to. This unique opportunity enables the mentor to have a long-lasting relationship with the client and assist on a project that can have a real impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Coaching
- Serve clients as a subject matter expert
- Assist clients with conducting academic research
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work at least 3 hours per week.
- Masters or PhD in Data Science or related field.
- Experience in teaching/tutoring.
- Ability to work independently yet dutifully within company pedagogy and processes
- Apply relentless dedication to delivering results
- Drive to help cultivate student thinking so that students become well-rounded and no longer need coaching
- The ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people, including executives, students, and other tutors
Nice to Have
- Relevant experience in human behavior-related projects
- Specialization in bioinformatics
Compensation and benefits
- Pay starts at $100-$125 per hour plus bonuses.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Cardinal Education does not require an exclusivity contract for Part-Time Academic Coaches. This position allows for flexible hours, with Coaches requesting a standard schedule of between 3 and 30 hours per week. Upon a job offer, you will enter a pool of tutors, where we match our students based on client demand. Cardinal Education does not guarantee the requested number of weekly hours; hours are dependent on the candidate’s performance in training and client demand.
