Summer Internship 2025
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of equities trading and broker dealer services. The intern will assist with financial reporting, account reconciliation, and contribute to various projects in compliance and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements
- Support daily accounting tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
- Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes
- Collaborate with the accounting team in the reconciliation of trading accounts
- Help with the preparation of tax documents and compliance reports
- Engage in special projects related to financial planning and risk assessment
- Work closely with senior accountants and financial analysts to understand the broker-dealer operations
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong academic record and a fundamental understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with ability to tackle any assigned projects
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work full-time during the summer
- Ability to commute to Midtown Manhattan (office located next to Penn Station)
- SAT and/or ACT scores must be submitted with application to be considered
