Public Affairs Associate

As an Associate, you will be an integral member of the team and assist with several projects and campaigns. At times, you will help manage projects and see them through fruition. This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to do the following tasks:
- Research and Analysis
- Media outreach, community relations
- Writing—you will be asked to produce various pieces including but not limited to op-eds and press releases. This will be a critical component to this position and strong writing skills are a must.
- Managing multiple social media channels
- Writing company branding materials
- Contacting and building media relationships
- Designing, writing/producing presentations and reports.
Skills Necessary:
- Strong writing skills
- Comfortable with pitching op-eds and other media-related pieces to publications
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key allies and contacts
- Comfortable with conducting outreach via phone call or email
- Senior or Grad student in the field of Strategic Public Relations, Communications, Public Diplomacy, or Public Policy strongly preferred

- Account Executive or Team Lead (for accounts you’ll be assigned)

Salary Level
$20/hr
Approximate Hours Per Week:
20-30 hours
(Preference is to work the bulk of these hours on the same days each week)
