Jere Farms is looking for a few good interns! If you are looking to expand your experience in produce production and direct market sales, we are a diverse farm help with your desires to grow your skills and experiences. Located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Jere Farms grows and sells a wide variety of produce and a livestock operation in attend 3-4 farmers markets a week. Last year’s CSA had 85 CSA members that increased the challenge of production needs and having products ready for CSA pick up and having product available in the farmstand. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from the start of seed planting to the finished product of plant propagation, transplanting, plant health management, insect and disease management, harvest, cleaning and packaging. Learning customer service skills at the on-farm stand or markets is strongly encouraged.

This internship is not for everyone. It demands dedication, physical stamina, and a willingness to work hands-on in challenging environments. Minimal screen time or specialized skills are required.

- Must be at least 18 years of age at start of internship.
- Work 5 days per week, off two days per week.
- Lodging will be provided off farm.
- Hourly wage will be discussed at time of interview.
- Expect significant physical challenges in the first two weeks. You may experience soreness, aches and fatigue.
