Role: Pop-Up Store Associate
Reports to: Eliza Ferrel, founder &/or Joy Sears, Director of Merchandising & Sales
Joy Street is a female owned and operated company offering hand-drawn baby layette, kids and women’s pajamas. Our products are manufactured using 100% Pima Cotton in Peru with a small batch female run manufacturer.
Joy Street is looking for a Sales Associate in our Pop-up in the Boston Seaport that is willing to wear many hats in our small and mighty team. This individual will be responsible for engaging and selling to customers, communicating inventory needs & sales opportunities, keeping the store clean and organized and opening and closing the shop.
Requirements
Genuine enthusiasm for retail, small business, and fashion. Must have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a can-do attitude. An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. The ideal candidate is a natural communicator, personable and has incredible attention to detail and a healthy sprinkle of perfectionism. This person embodies the Joy Street attitude – a positive, fun, curious person who loves people.
Storefront & Retail Experience
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience with a focus on quality and relationship building
- Ensure the sales floor is stocked and tidy at all times while adhering to inventory guidelines
- Drive business through clienteling, outreach, and fostering ongoing genuine relationships with customers
- Ensures visual merchandising standards are maintained, store is always client-ready and tidy at all times
- Open and close store
- Daily communication and reporting to Joy street on day highlights and opportunities etc.
This role offers a flexible schedule based on individual availability. Weekend availability required. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds. Joy Street is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
