Job Summary
Liberty Tax is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparers to join our team at four different locations: Ambler, Doylestown, Hatboro or Pottstown. As a Tax Preparer, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to analyze and interpret tax-related information. This position REQUIRES certification which Liberty does provide. It also requires payment FOR the tax school at $119 for the entire school which includes the certification process. This amount WILL be refunded to you provided you work the entire tax season (January to 4/15/26).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial documents, such as W-2s, 1099s, and other relevant forms.
- Provide clients with guidance on tax-related matters and financial planning.
- Utilize accounting software and tools, including QuickBooks and Sage, to ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice.
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract new clients through community outreach.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak tax season.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and financial software tools.
- Previous experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Strong math skills for calculations related to taxes and financial reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Customer service orientation with strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is a plus.
- Experience in financial sales or marketing is beneficial.
