Practice Manager, Medical Practice, Manhattan Kansas
Independently owned and growing physician practice in Manhattan Kansas with strong performance compared to MGMA production and compensation data, with 6 full time and 3 part time physicians, and 3 Behavioral Health professionals, is looking to hire an experienced Practice Manager to fill our top leadership position. This is a salaried, full time position. The practice manager supervises and directs the staff; guides and manages the businesses resources and financial operations of the clinic; contributes to its strategic initiatives; monitors opportunities and regulations impacting the business, and works to negotiate contracts with payors and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5 years of public accounting experience, masters degree in health care administration, MBA, or MPH or at least 5 years of medical office management experience with at least part of that time in Kansas.
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Health Care administration, or related field, or commensurate experience in medical practice management.
- Above average interpersonal and communication skills.
- In depth understanding of health care operations, including the regulatory requirements of medical practice management, HIPPA, and vaccine practices.
- Familiarity with Federal and Kansas labor laws, rules, and regulations of Medicaid and third party reimbursement processes.
- Professionalism to deal positively with patients, all levels of personnel within the organization and with outside contacts such as vendors, attorneys and accountants.
- An attitude and temperament that handles the demands and stresses of carrying out multiple projects within limited time frames.
- Have knowledge of medical information technology and electronic health records.
- Bondable.
- Be able to lift 40lbs, to move equipment and supplies, stoop, reach above head, and be able to operate office equipment. Ability to provide for own transportation to meetings and events.
