Job Overview:
PHMC would like to attract an individual who is interested in Procurement and in developing business skills required to be effective in today’s business environment. Under the direction of the Procurement Operations Manager, the Procurement Intern will provide support relating to and coordination activities around Procurement processes. In this position we will provide close guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with vetting and onboarding prospective vendors
- Update the processes and procedures for prospective vendors
- Update the preferred vendor list
- Work with Procurement and Communications to post preferred vendor list and marking materials for each vendor on the PHMC Intranet
Skills:
- Knowledge of general business principles or procurement
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Initiative and growth mindset
- Proficiency with Excel
Experience:
- Course study in supply management, procurement or business management
- Knowledge of general procurement processes
Education Requirement: - Working for a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, finance or economics
