Interior Design Intern
Riverwards General is an emerging, full-service interior design studio located in Kennett Square, PA. We are a growing studio, working with both residential and hospitality clients. We’re looking for an intern to manage our design studio to support our dynamic projects and valued clients. The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivated, organized, creative and passionate about interiors & architecture. They are also someone who can work in a fast- paced environment, loves to assist their teammates and who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty, willing to do whatever is needed to see a project to completion.
Responsibilities:
– Organize, maintain, and stock the materials library, ordering samples and updating books
– Sourcing furnishings, fabrics, materials and lighting
– Accompanying Principal designer on client visits (when possible)
– Running various errands related to client projects (Picking up/delivering materials, meeting with vendors, etc.)
– Participating in design installations
– Cleaning and organizing in preparation for meetings
– Assisting with styling and photo shoots
– Coordinating with vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers for various project needs
– Assist with social media
Qualifications:
– Basic knowledge of architectural and interiors products and materials
– Excellent communication skills
– Passionate about the organization
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for a significant portion of the day
– Regular access to a vehicle and/or other transportation for attending meetings/running errands
– Students and/or Recent Graduates of an accredited Interior Design program (Preferred)
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; mainly excel, power point and word (Preferred)

– We are a small team, therefore, interns learn all aspects of working in an interior design business
