Synchrogistics is a dynamic, $100 million 3PL brokerage headquartered in Raleigh, NC. We specialize in executing reliable, customer-focused transportation solutions through strong carrier relationships, clear communication, and data-driven decision making.

Our sales team plays a critical role in driving growth by building strong shipper partnerships and delivering customized logistics solutions. We’re looking for an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Executive who thrives in the field, enjoys relationship-building, and knows how to turn opportunities into long-term customers.

Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new shipper relationships and growing revenue through face-to-face engagement within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a proven sales professional who enjoys being in front of customers, understands consultative selling, and can independently manage a robust sales pipeline while collaborating closely with internal operations teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Development and Sales:

  • Prospect, identify, and secure new shipper accounts across an assigned territory
  • Develop and executive a territory sales plan targeting high-potential industries and freight lanes
  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with logistics decision makers
  • Present company services, value propositions, and customized logistics solutions
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company margin goals

Account Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with shippers, focusing on trust, responsiveness, and service
  • Partner with internal operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of freight
  • Grow wallet share with existing accounts through cross-selling additional services (LTL, intermodal, flatbed, etc.)

Pipeline and Reporting:

  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to track opportunities, activities, and revenue pipeline
  • Maintain approximately 3x pipeline coverage versus quota to support consistent results
  • Provide accurate forecasts, market feedback, and competitive intelligence to leadership

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven B2B sales experience (logistics, transportation, or supply chain preferred)
  • HS Diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
  • 1-year minimum customer service experience
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with travel 2 days / week
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Proficient with CRM systems and MS Office tools
  • Results-driven, competitive mindset with a consultative sales approach
