Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate Legal Affairs Editor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in the law, a talent for writing, and a commitment to providing insightful coverage of legal trends and issues. No prior experience is required—just a dedication to producing accurate, thoughtful, and engaging content.
As a Legal Affairs Editor, you will write and edit articles on legal developments across the U.S. and globally. Topics will include court cases, legislative updates, regulatory changes, and broader trends in the legal profession.
You will work directly with the Founder and CEO of The International Review, who is an attorney and also the Editor-in-Chief of AI and the Law at The National Law Review.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write articles on significant legal issues, cases, and trends at both national and international levels.
- Edit and refine submissions from contributors, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our editorial standards.
- Pitch and develop story ideas related to courts, legislation, legal policy, and societal impacts of the law.
- Stay updated on major legal developments, including judicial decisions, regulatory changes, and legislative updates.
- Collaborate directly with the Founder and CEO to shape the publication’s legal coverage and strategy.
- Engage with legal professionals, scholars, and industry experts to enhance the quality and depth of coverage.
Qualifications
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of English.
- A genuine interest in legal affairs, policy, and the justice system.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
