Our Virginia Beach, VA, location is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Music Teacher and Teacher.
We are actively seeking upcoming or recent college graduates with majors in either Music or Education, who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching combined with music school administration and management. Part-time employment, 4 – 8 hours weekly, available as early as February 2025, with the option to continue permanently and into a full-time teaching position.
Specific duties for the Assistant Music Teacher and Teacher include:
- Helping the primary Teacher monitor classes
- Working directly with students (answering questions, evaluating assignments)
- Greeting and interacting with the parents of students
- Tracking student progress
- Assisting with large recitals (200 – 250 persons)
- Light administrative and marketing tasks
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in music reading and music theory
- Playing proficiency in at least one musical instrument (preferably piano or strings)
- Proficiency in piano
No prior teaching experience is required, as we offer complete training. We’re looking for “Musicians” and “Educators” who love working with kids, prioritize teaching, and enjoy being creative, spontaneous, and making kids laugh while they learn.
