Dear Clinician:
I am writing to share with you a unique and fulfilling full-time job opportunity within our nonprofit organization for a compassionate clinician with a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
At Philadelphia Catholic Social Service’s Transitional Foster Care Program, we are committed to providing comprehensive care and support to unaccompanied immigrant children who have experienced trauma and displacement. We value the role of bilingual (Spanish/English) clinicians in facilitating effective communication and providing culturally sensitive therapy to these children until they are reunited with a family member in the United States.
The benefits of joining our team include:
- Low Case Load: We prioritize quality over quantity, ensuring that each therapist has a manageable caseload (usually up to 8) to provide individualized care and attention to each child. This is a salaried position, so you will get paid regardless of case load size as there is no such thing as a “no show”.
- Minimal Paperwork: We understand that paperwork can be burdensome and time-consuming. We strive to minimize paperwork requirements, allowing our clinicians to focus their time and energy on direct client care. This includes no treatment plans or insurance companies to answer to.
- Flexibility: We recognize the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your personal and professional commitments. Our service hours are during the day, Monday-Friday, allowing you to be home in the evening and on weekends.
- Work Benefits: Health insurance and paid time off are available for all employees who work 20 hours or more a week.
Your role would involve conducting in-person intake assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, making recommendations for ongoing care, meeting for licensure supervision, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic well-being of the children we serve. Additionally, you would have the opportunity to participate in ongoing continuing education and on-site training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise.
If you have a passion for helping others and are fluent in Spanish, you would be an invaluable asset to our organization. If you are interested in joining our team and making an impact in the lives of unaccompanied immigrant children, please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss this opportunity further.
Thank you for considering this opportunity and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to the possibility of working together to create positive change in the lives of those in need.
Warm regards,
Lisa Gaub LPC, NCC
