Most people who come to Arcadia are only students here for a small portion of their lives. That means that the purpose of their students experience is in part to help prepare them for the careers they go on to pursue and ultimately thrive in. For those of us in heavily student facing roles, it’s particularly imperative that we’re equipped with the tools to help support students as they think and go through the career planning process. Participating in the Career Influencer Training helped empower me to ask better questions when working with students who come to me seeking career or major advice, while also equipping me with more knowledge on how the Office of Career Education also meets the needs of our students.
