Arden Theatre Co. Professional Apprentice Program Applications Now Open!

Arden Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing to life great stories by great storytellers – on stage, in the classroom and in the community. Arden Theatre Company’s Professional Apprentice Program is an intensive, season-long program that trains future theatre leaders in every facet of running a non-profit theatre. Apprentices learn from a dedicated staff of professional artists and administrators who are committed to training future theatre leaders.

The Arden Professional Apprentice (APA) Program is one of the most comprehensive theatre training programs in the country. We provide hands-on knowledge of the inner workings of a LORT theatre. APAs work in every aspect of the Arden’s operations including Marketing, Development, Front of House, Artistic, General Management, Production, Education and Stage Management.  Designed to nurture and encourage the industry’s future leaders, this well-rounded, rigorous, and multi-faceted experience prepares APAs as they begin their careers in local and national performing arts communities. Ideal candidates will have a broad-based interest in theatre and possess an enthusiastic approach to learning.

The APA training program is a full-time plus commitment. The program begins in late August and runs through the middle of June. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  The program offers a salary of $600 per week (taxed), health insurance, paid time off, complimentary tickets to Arden Theatre Company productions, understudy opportunities, and the opportunity to meet and network with members of the Philadelphia community.

If you have any questions about the program, feel free to contact Liz Crino at 215-922-8900 ext.162/apa@ardentheatre.org or visit http://www.ardentheatre.org for more information. Interested students can visit https://ardentheatre.org/apprentice-program/ to apply.
