Employee Benefits Broker-in-Training: Full-Time. Hybrid, Conshohocken, PA or Mechanicsburg, PA.

Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania, LP. has an exciting opportunity available for an Employee Benefits Broker-in-Training to join our team in Conshohocken, PA and Mechanicsburg, PA in May or June 2023.

We are excited to offer a two-year, in-depth training and development program to kick-start your career in Employee Benefits Sales! Upon completion of the development program, you will have the technical knowledge and skills necessary to transition into a career in sales, or client service. Our results-based, decentralized company culture provides unlimited earning potential for entrepreneurial salespeople – get your foot in the door with our development program!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

FIRST YEAR:
Work with our Employee Benefits service team to process enrollments, quote renewals and new business, and maintain our internal operations standards.
Work with our Employee Benefits service team to service our small group book of business.
Obtain your Life & Health insurance license.
Shadow our Employee Benefits sales team to learn the sales cycle from lead, to qualified prospect, to client.
Provide sales support as needed, including but not limited to: building proposals, maintaining prospect lists, and reinforcing Brown & Brown brand standards.

SECOND YEAR:
Work with our Employee Benefits service team to service our large group book of business.
Generate leads for the Employee Benefits sales team; schedule prospect meetings and assist in the preparation of meeting materials.
Attend Brown & Brown University.
Develop a pipeline of prospects for your transition to full-time sales production.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Completion of a college degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, Sales, or related field by May/June 2023. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Prior internship experience a plus.
Willingness to obtain Life & Health insurance license.

Summer 2023 Interns: In-Person, Conshohocken, PA.

Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania, LP. has an exciting opportunity available for a Summer Intern for our team in Conshohocken, PA!

We are excited to offer a rotational internship program to two students looking to kick-start their career in the insurance industry! Throughout the summer of 2023, you will spend time in both our Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits teams, and get exposure to both sales and client servicing. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the financial and business operations of our office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Complete an end of internship project based on your interests, culminating in a presentation to the office leadership team.
Work with both the sales and service teams to complete various projects and administrative tasks.
Shadow sales and service teammates; participate in meetings, events, and activities as needed.
Track and shadow the life cycle of a prospect and a renewal with the appropriate teammate.
Strengthen your knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance lines of coverage, and proper processes and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Current enrollment in a post-secondary course of study; preferably in the field of Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field. Rising seniors preferred.
