Title: Fundraising/Development Assistant, Part Time
Compensation: $20/hr
Schedule: 25 hrs/week, Monday-Friday 10am-6pm from July 1th – August 23, 2024 (flexible schedule within this time frame)
Location: 100 West 2nd Street Boston, MA 02127
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Resident of the City of Boston
- Between ages of 19-24
Reporting to Courtney Ford, the Director of Individual Giving, Engagement, and Events and will work within the Development team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining donor records using Salesforce database
- Processing gifts; entry in our database, drafting and sending out acknowledgements
- Help in planning fundraising and donor cultivation events, including sending invitations, promoting on local event calendars, reaching out to Vendors and Sponsors for support
- Tracking event attendees, Sponsorships, and Vendors in Salesforce
- Help create event ticketing website and track ticket sales in Salesforce
- Support sending annual appeals and requests for donations
- Run reports in Salesforce to generate gift reminders
- Contribute to monthly donor newsletter
- Attending on-site events at AFH and connecting with the public to share information and generate enthusiasm about our work
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appreciation of the role of art, design, and entrepreneurship in youth development; deep belief in Artists For Humanity’s mission
- Detail-oriented
- Can-do team player
- Relevant experience in nonprofit or education a bonus
- Previous experience with Salesforce or other data entry a plus, but not required
- Must be a US Citizen, US National or Permanent Resident
