Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and responsible student facilitator to play a crucial role in Auburn University’s collaboration with the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project (APAEP). The selected individual will be responsible for escorting AU instructors from campus to a chosen facility, accompanying them during the APAEP’s lecture series, and maintaining regular communication with the APAEP program coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Escort and Coordination:
- Safely transport AU instructors from campus to the designated facility for the APAEP lecture series.
- Ensure timely arrival at the facility and assist instructors as needed.
Accompaniment during Presentations:
- Attend the APAEP lecture series sessions with the instructor.
- Provide support and assistance to the instructor during their presentation.
Communication:
- Maintain constant communication with the APAEP program coordinator.
- Report on the progress and status of each lecture series session on a weekly basis.
Problem Resolution:
- Address any issues or challenges that may arise during transportation or lecture sessions promptly.
- Collaborate with the APAEP program coordinator to resolve any concerns.
Record Keeping:
- Keep detailed records of each lecture series session, including attendance, feedback, and any noteworthy occurrences.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment as a grad student at Auburn University.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible and punctual with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
Commitment: This position requires a commitment of approximately 14 weeks, with one session per week. The facilitator is expected to be available for transportation and lecture series attendance during this period.
