PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range: $108,914.19 – $138,574.37
Hourly Pay Range: $55.853432 – $71.063777
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate’s experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

Employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to receive full benefits. Employees working 20 – 29 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits for themselves and family members. JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Join a well-established team where you will work with a diverse group of providers, while administering psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to HC-BH clients. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner passionate about healthcare who is committed to working in a collaborative, team-based environment to join Clackamas County’s Behavioral Health clinic teams!
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Licensed and Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges (within 30 days of hire) by the State of Oregon
• DEA registration certificate with Schedule 2 and Schedule 3 privileges (within 30 days of hire)
• Must possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• Within the Psychiatric Specialty: designation as a “Qualified Mental Health Professional” as established by the State of Oregon Mental Health Division.

• Must pass a criminal history check which may include national or state fingerprint records check and reports of substantiated abuse

TYPICAL TASKS
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
1. Prescribes and administers medications within legally established formulary; evaluates patient response to medication; educates clients regarding medication risks and benefits; documents according to clinic policies.
2. Conducts and documents psychiatric evaluations and reassessments; orders and interprets diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests; develops and implements treatment plans; makes referrals to other health care providers and social service agencies. Documents according to clinic policies.
3. Participates in clinic operations and quality assurance activities; evaluates and recommends improvements to health care services; assists in the formation and review of clinical protocols, policies and procedures; participates in continuing education and in-service training.
4. Provides consultations to other service providers, group homes, schools and community groups on behavioral health care issues; develops and presents education material.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Thorough knowledge of: All Specialties: Principles and practices of advanced nursing; medications and their standard clinical usages; diagnostic techniques; available community resources; case management methods and techniques; rules, laws, regulations and ethics governing the medical management of patients. Adult Specialty within Corrections: Standards and guidelines of health care in corrections facilities, including emergency health care; principles and theories of human behavior, personality development, social interaction and criminal behavior. Psychiatric Specialty: Principles and theories of human behavior, personality development and social interaction and development; techniques and procedures for diagnosing, evaluating, modifying and motivating human behavior; principles and techniques of group and individual therapy; principles and methods of community intervention; involuntary commitment laws and procedures.
Working knowledge of: Office equipment, including personal computers and software programs.
Skill to: Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; assess and diagnose physical and/or mental health conditions; prescribe and administer medication within legally established formulary; diagnose, evaluate and implement a treatment plan and monitor the client’s progress toward established goals; analyze and evaluate social, psychological and physical factors affecting clients and their families; treat clients and their families to enhance their social, psychological and physical functioning; prepare and deliver oral presentations to the public, community groups and other health care professionals; work cooperatively as a member of a professional health care team to diagnose and treat clients; keep accurate and timely records; operate computer software and other office equipment; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position can work 30 – 40 hours/week based on department needs (hours may vary).
This position is included in the County’s alternate workweek program. Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during time of offer. Telework locations cannot be located outside of Oregon or Washington.
