Fitness for Health is looking to take on Interns to help us with our Integrated Movement and Therapeutic Fitness programs. Interns will work directly with our Movement specialists as they bring clients through one on one training. Interns must be able to work at least one weekend day (saturday or sunday) and most after school hours (3pm-7pm).
Our integrated movement specialists work with each family to create a customized plan of care that combines evidence-based sensory integration techniques and our innovative exergaming equipment—including a 3D virtual reality gaming system, a 30-foot trampoline, and a laser maze—to help children build the critical skills they need to succeed in everyday life.
Areas of improvement may include:
- Functional movement / play skills
- Gross motor function and coordination
- Crossing the midline
- Mental processing
- Motor planning and motor sequencing
- Eye-hand coordination
- Locomotor skills
- Visual motor/perceptual motor skills
- Proprioception and balance
- Age-appropriate social skills
- And more
