This Human Resources Coordinator will provide operational and tactical support to all Spooky Nook operational departments. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our team members, applicants, and external customers. Attention to detail, communication, and a desire to learn are necessary to succeed in this fast paced position.
Compensation: Starting at $17.00/hr.
NOTE: Because this position will involve routine interaction with children, all candidates must successfully obtain the following clearances PRIOR to beginning employment:
- PA State Police criminal history record,
- PA Child Abuse Clearance, and
- FBI Fingerprint-based criminal history clearance.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide correspondence to applicants, new hires, and current team members via phone and email
- Send all new hire paperwork and background check paperwork to new team members
- Data entry of all new team member information and current team member status changes
- Provide new team members with necessary paperwork and property including ID cards and nametags
- Maintain up to date background check documentation and conduct checks on new hires
- Assist team members with log-in information for UKG
- Assist with the team member onboarding/orientation process
- Log all Independent Contractor paperwork and collect necessary documentation for each contractor
- Conduct multiple Company Orientations each week
- Shadow and understand any employee investigations that arise
- Participation in an operational role during major events and tournaments at Spooky Nook Sports
- Filing and scanning documents as needed in employment folders
- Complete various internal audits of HR systems and information
- Serve as the location expert for unemployment and worker’s compensation matters
- Assist in safety and health initiatives such as team member Safety Committee and OSHA reporting
- All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Human Resources role that included Pennsylvania specific labor law
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude towards guests and fellow team members. Exhibits a respectful, professional demeanor.
- Adept in creative problem-solving; develops innovative solutions for common issues
- Highly motivated, self-starting and resourceful
- Outgoing and energized by interacting with people; comfortable making cold-calls and emails

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
- Language skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience using an HRIS system such as UKG/Ultipro/ Kronos
- Previous work experience in the hospitality industry

Working Conditions
- Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. This position will primarily work in an office environment.
- Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, talking, hearing, standing, and sitting for long periods of time while working on a computer. He or she will frequently be required to bend, reach, lift, push and pull. The team member will be occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 25 lbs. regularly.
- Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically quiet.
