This eighteen-month rotational program is designed to develop capabilities and foster innovation to scale the company to meet its next phase of growth. Enterprise & Operational Risk Management: The Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Group (ERM/ORM), is responsible for developing and implementing the Bank’s risk management framework. ERM/ORM is a growing organization focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the company. The organization plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.
The role will partner with other second line of defense (Risk Management) functions, business units, and operations teams to develop and implement ERM programs. ERM/ORM programs include Bank risk governance, the ERM Framework including the Bank’s Risk Appetite, Risk and Control Assessments, Key Risk Indicators, Control Testing, Issue Management, Corporate Insurance, and Regulatory Relations. The ERM/ORM group provides second line oversight for IT Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, and Operational Risk Management.
Strategic Risk: The Strategic Risk team, within the overall Risk Management department, is responsible for developing and implementing the Bank’s Strategic Risk Management Framework. The Strategic Risk team is focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the company. The team plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.
During this part of your rotational program, you will be involved in monitoring and reporting on the Bank’s $100B Scalability plan progress, performing research on external risk and industry trends, developing Top and Emerging Risk commentary, supporting Risk Management CRO Town-Halls and Offsites, and other relevant activities.
Qualifications:
- Completed MBA or master’s degree in a related field within three years of program application.
- Two to Five years of related experience in business management, risk, finance, accounting, economics, banking, data sciences, MIS, and computer sciences with an understanding of banking and financial services.
- History of acting as a change agent and taking calculated risks
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel) and other presentation tools.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines. Ability to self-start and self-direct in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge and an ability to master new subjects and processes.
