Position Summary:
A successful Admissions Graduate Assistant positively represents our institution and serves as a support for several Admissions staff with various projects. They will primarily assist the Assistant Director of Admissions Events, Campus Visits, and the New Student Experience with the direction of the Admissions Undergraduate Student Leaders including Student Program Ambassadors and Tour Ambassadors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment Events:
- Assist with organizing and staffing recruitment events such as open houses, admitted student days, and transfer events; engaging with prospective students and families; answering questions about academic programs, admissions, and campus life.
- Assist with leading 70+ student leaders at recruitment events – attending and supervising academic fairs, being a resource for student leaders, and dismissing tours.
Student Leadership:
- Assist with training and hiring student leaders. Act as a liaison between student leaders and professional staff members.
Outreach and Engagement:
- Create and maintain an organizational structure to manage and support Student Program Ambassador outreach to prospective students.
- Occasionally assist with marketing requests (social media takeovers, testimonials, photoshoots, etc) by participating and/or recruiting others to participate.
- Assist as needed with office work such as phone calls, mailings, data entry, etc.
Marginal Functions:
- Evening and weekend work is required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate leadership experience and a commitment to fostering inclusivity, diversity, and a sense of community.
- Knowledge of campus resources, academic programs, and student services

Received: This position reports the Assistant Director of Admissions Events, Campus Visits, and the New Student Experience.
Given: Responsible for leadership and clear communication with Tour Ambassadors and Student Program Ambassadors; supervision issues directed to the Assistant Director of Admissions Events, Campus Visits, and the New Student Experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be an enrolled Graduate Student.
- Must be in good standing with the University.
- Must be available for admitted student events and open houses (fall and spring).
